Re: Dyn4 to Acorn cable - Why not utilize the Dyn4’s internal 5v power supply ?

Jake,

On DMM's web storefront I found this:

I wanted a bit more length and DMM said they were only offered in the 1m length.

I found this schematic on DMM's website.

Ordered the DMM DYN4 drives with 750w motors. Excited to get this going!

Thank you all for your input! I appreciate it.

Gerald,

Thank you for weighing in. Clearpath specified two of their power supplies. I'm leaning toward Clearpath with the enhanced option.

Re: Upgrading from open loop steppers.. DMM DYN4 or Clearpath?

A Clearpath application engineer did work with me. It was beyond impressive. Clearpath is about $2800 shipped. It looks like Estun is $3200 just for the motors, drives and 5m cable. I would need 7.5m cables. Hmm..

Anyone else with DMM DYN4 or Clearpath willing to chime in?

Re: Limit switches are tripping randomly during machine operation

Yes.
slodat wrote: Tue Feb 05, 2019 1:35 am Input 7 (probeTripped configured NC, but the switches are actually NO) is green on a fresh system startup until I actuate the probe switch, then it goes red unless the probe is tripped. It boots up latched on until it sees a state change, then it works as expected.

On power up. Input 7 is green. Line over 1-3 and 5.

Re: Limit switches are tripping randomly during machine operation

Check with Keith, I think there is an issue with home/limitOk setup at moment. I had an issue where home/limit kept re-tripping on axis 1 across a variety of switch types. Only happened in first axis. Changed setup to home all & problem went away, just used soft limits after that. Regards, Mich...
