Re: Lost connection again
In my post I said I have tried both the ethernet cable that came with the kit as well as a new shielded cable which I purchased. Same errors with both. There are photos of my cabinet wiring on the Google photos page linked in my signature. My VFD is an Omron 3g3jz. I used shielded cable to and from ...

Re: Lost connection again
I don't have any ethernet drops in my shop so I only use one port on the PC to connect to the Acorn and have the other disabled. I had connected my CNC PC to my home network via WIFI but I shut WIFI off in troubleshooting this issue so have just gone back to "sneakernet" with a USB drive i...

Re: Dead in the water
Ok checked the firewall. Turned off as I expected (I still get pop up warnings telling me my computer is unprotected because my firewall is off, despite turning off all notifications). Yet something called the "domain firewall" was enabled. Ok. Turned it off, rebooted. Launched CNC12. It e...

Re: Dead in the water
I have no antivirus software installed. I turned off the firewall as per the instructions provided here to set up a Win 10 PC, but I will check them now. You never know with Windows. It may have turned itself back on of its own volition. I don't have another Win 10 computer with an ethernet port to ...

Dead in the water <resolved>
I used my CNC yesterday to begin a new prototype guitar and everything was peachy. Today I turn everything on and the CNC no longer responds to commands from Acorn. I shut everything off, reboot. ping 10.168.41.2 and get replies no packets lost. Launch CNC12 and it hangs on "establishing connec...

Re: Post processor tweaks
Perfect! Thank you, swissi! I'm glad to see the settings also stick so you don't have to set these parameters every time, but can change them if needed. Great work. Another one to mark resolved.

Post processor tweaks
Hello folks, There are a few annoyance issues with the post processor behavior for Fusion 360 I would like to tweak if someone could point me toward information on how to do it. First the dwell time is not long enough. The spindle is still coming up to speed and the machine is already in motion ente...

Re: Subnet mask/gateway for static IP address
Just to update and let the moderators know this can be marked "solved". I ran a lot of tests today of a new CAD model and there are no communication errors in the log so I guess I'm good for now. I will keep an eye on the reports for a while and at least I have a second ethernet port I can...

Re: Subnet mask/gateway for static IP address
Ok I found another way into the adapter settings that is more familiar to me. Maybe this can help the next guy tying to troubleshoot. My initial way in was to click on the network icon in the system tray by the clock and selecting "Network and internet settings". This brings you to Windows...
