Marty did you ever get any explanation of the GEAR_NUM/LINE_NUM parameters from DMM. I notice you are using 2000 for both in lieu of the 8192/4095 they recommended.

I looked at a haas of that vintage recently with the intent of retrofitting it. From the research I did, I don’t think there is any practical way to use the drives with another control. I think if it were me I’d work backwards from the servos (sigma I maybe) and see if I could find some used drives that aren’t HAAS proprietary. Looks to me like a couple of theirs would work.

I think the GS3 drives go up to 3HP on single phase and have encoder cards available if you want/need that capability. I have a 1HP teco drive on my bandsaw that takes 120V in and puts 240 out, I don’t think you will find that on a 3HP drive though.
