For your end mill issue just make it the same tool number with a different offset. One offset for edge work and the other for plunge cutting.

I had the same comms errors on my machine and I had to reload windows to fix it.

Looks like the defender firewall is turned on for some reason. I have a domain, public and private firewalls that I can turn on or off. Do I need to turn them all off? Or just the public and private?

The PC did not update as updates are nothing but trouble and make more problems than they solve. I do connect to the internet to upload data as this is also my tuning laptop for my car.

Is there a way to see these errors in real time so I know if I fixed the issue or not? Instead of changing something and waiting to see if it fixed it?

I notice the positive rake tooling vs negative rake tooling is WAY off. Then throw in some aluminum inserts which cut smaller on OD the deeper the DOC I take. It turns into a crap shoot on my machine. It is easier to just skim cut for setting up the offsets.

I wouldn't waste time using auto touch off. When I touch off a probe in my lathe it never cuts on size. Probe touch off is only really useful for super rigid machines with no flex.
