Re: Wizard Outputs List

Don't drag your OUTPUT5 out of the box and then try to drag in another. Simply drag your new Output setting into and over the top of the existing setting which will automatically remove the old setting. 1 single drag and drop instead of 2

Q2

Re: Tool setter positioning

You can use G28 / G30 / G30 P2 / G30 P3 and set to be any position you like. Navigate as follows from main menu F1 Setup / F1 Part / F9 WCS Table / F1 Return. You now choose 1 of the 4 Return points (to match Clint's macro) and enter the appropriate co-ords remembering they are Machine Co-ords NOT W...

Re: Confused over home switches and limit switches

I have A axis setup on my mill without a home switch and therefore it's homed in whatever position it happens to be. This is not a problem since it has a 3/4 jaw chuck / faceplate. However, in the event of an unexpected stop (power failure, programming SNAFU etc) midway through a job, you may need t...

Re: WMPG6 Controller issues < usb ports , don't use power save or sleep >

No I didn't hand enter the field. I installed and then used the backup form the previous install from the Pentium computer since it was running the same machine, all I did was update the computer. Before I got the machine his WMPG-4 was working fine and had no issues. He made sure everything was up...

Nigelo, The minimum your seeing is the old PC that ran the CNC mill it was a late 90s Pentium. No, quite the opposite. I see a Single Thread benchmark 1515 for the last Report in your zip timed at 17:10 on Jan 5 2024 where the CPU is an Intel Celeron N5105 @ 2.00GHz. See link https://www.cpubenchma...

Re: Machine movement calibration

No, you do not "bring it back" at all and should not be using the wmpg to conduct these tests. Use mdi for the pre travel to your start point and set WCS X to zero. Read off your dti or set to zero and then use mdi again to move to X2 in the SAME as direction as pre travel at say F8 I.e G1...

Re: Machine movement calibration

For a commanded move of 2" inches but actual travel of 1.997" with motor revs/inch currently set to 9.9991 try setting Motor revs/inch to 10.01412118 Save and then re-home before retesting This assumes your actual measurement is correct and you have indeed excluded backlash by pre-travelli...

Re: MDI Spindle input not working (Error code: 5038)

Go back into the Wizard and check your spindle speeds. You cannot run at less than the minimum entered here. Put simply, the system will always default to this minimum where you enter a lower speed
