Air pressure proving switch on Bridgeport V2XT or Boss
Got another mind blowing question for you guys. On a Bridgeport V2XT or Boss. Your spindle speed and brake are pneumatically controlled. There is a air pressure proving switch which originally prevented the machine from going forward if somebody forgot to turn the air on. What circuit can I use for ...

Re: Only 1 limit switch
If this is a Bridgeport look a like and you have a switch at each end of travel. You can easily make them into independent limit switches as long as you can wire them for normally closed.

Snubbers 101
Top of the day people, let me ask hypothetical snubber type questions. I read the directions and visited a couple of hyperlinks that Marty had posted on this subject and still came away from it kind of lost. From what I’m reading you can have enough of these things. I got them on the contactor coils...

Re: DB-9 Connector
Thought I add one more thing to this. After receiving the connectors which worked out great. There is a ground lug on these for the shielding wire. Can't go wrong on this item at $7.50 each. Bob L

DB-9 Connector
I ran across something yesterday after killing my sell trying to solder on those eight little wires on the DB-9 encoder terminal with my bad eye site and big fingers was a total joke. Well I found the answer. I for one hate Amazon but I caved for this one. Hope this helps somebody out. Bob L

Re: Hardinge CHNC II
My CHNC was produced almost at the end of production. In front of the door there is a table of switches. I call them Mylar crap switches. This stuff was destine to fail before it left the drawing board. See picture. This stuff was all the rage in the 70s early 80s. My case back hoe had 10 toggle swi...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II
I was just joking around. My point was the noise level of the shop. That video has me all hyped up now. Got to assume that whole strip of Mylar crap switches goes away with the conversion. Sounds like a whole lot of fun work. Bob L

Re: Hardinge CHNC II
Thanks for the input. That machine sounds like it need new spindle bearings. This is interesting since a CHNC has two huge cabinets that could be reduced to 36X36". I fixed to rehab this lathe as I acquired new balls and screw before they became obsolete. This is one of my babies. A quarter of ...

Hardinge CHNC II
Good day lads. Got a question. I’ve got a Hardinge Chnc II chucker lathe. I would could call Centriod direct but felt my question would be answered better by people here that have had their hands in one. The tooling rotary is air operated. Can the All In One software handle this type of machine? Tha...
