Re: Windows update
I noticed that with one of the update packs for Windows 10 Update changed and won't allow you to shut off updates completely - IIRC 45 days is the max you can set it to automatically check and install updates. I set my update settings to max intervals and install window during graveyard when I know ...

Re: Choppy motion - VCarve?
Check out sword's post on smoothing it may help https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=22541#p22541 Two things to be aware of on VCP and Aspire- try to keep your work area as small as possible when laying out vectors/3D, and use a higher resolution for the modeling when you start the job layou...

Re: Surface probe that generates height deltas
I am not compensating for the machine itself however when I V-carve I can get .5mm discrepancies in locations of material that isn't flat or has areas that are hard to notice by eye they are not flat. I guess I will have to create the tool as no one else has this problem. Maybe not too many out the...

Re: Software enhancements request
It would be nice to add the ability to run a job from the graphing screen rather than reverting back to the home screen to press 'run'

Do you have the resistors installed per the latest Acorn/SDSK documentation for Step/direction/Enable?

Re: Dust Collector
You would need two relays from the acorn, one for momentary contact for turning the DC on, and one for momentary contact for turning the DC off. If you look at Oneida's wireless remote line diagram you may be able to parallel with the remote. Another way to do it would be to use the contactor wire t...

Re: C86ACCP out of stock, should I skip it?
Do yourself a big favor and skip the C86 board, it causes many people nothing but headaches. It's also just another failure point in the system that's simply not needed. You can buy the 4 channel relay board for the HFLB circuit on Amazon for about $7 and have it tomorrow I'm sure. Make s...

VCP selectable Options for only one active output
I am thinking of using a Raspberry Pi zeroW to text the machine operator's phone when there is an error/fault or G-Code file is completed. This is not intended to be a thread discussing leaving the machine unattended or unsafe practices in the shop. This is intended to discuss an additional method t...

Re: Acorn, Clearpath,C86ACCP and contactor
The C86ACCP is not well documented by the seller. My experience with it was beyond a terrible experience. IMO it is a project in process. When the individual for support comments to the effect that 'most people don't understand how it works so we don't publish a manual for everything that it will do...

Re: New Build: Frame convert into a working machine
I used one of these https://www.adafruit.com/product/1609 breadboards to mount the resistors and run one +24VDC source, placed a https://www.adafruit.com/product/2671 header on it and used https://www.adafruit.com/product/826 extension wires from the header to the drive cable ferrule on the terminal...
