Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Yes i verified the voltage and told them, And i also told them i have tried every single motor and drive i have on the Z axis and it stays with the Z axis. I am going to order new bearings, coupler everything and see if there is anything that could be wrong. I have taken it apart to verify everythin...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

No the motor isn’t even hot at all it happens with in 2-5 mins if that it don’t even have time to warm up?

I have 246.8 volts all the way to the drive. I honestly don’t know if there is a way to see what’s being applied to the Servo itself?

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

I just don't understand how you could get overheat or overcurrent with a 750w servo and a benchtop mill.... What pitch is the ball screw? Metric. 5mm pitch or 5.08" TPI. I don't see how the coupler could be causing the issue unless its severely binding. I showed the video of me turning the coup...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Well I copied in your response from the other day with adding fans and possibly the motor undersized. They responded with what they were doing to yours but they don’t believe mine is the same issue. The email I just received says: We think it’s motor or encoder! but I have put every motor and drive ...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

What type of fan are you using to cool that fast on the housing of the servo? Mine have 249v going to them what was yours for over voltage? Or was it being over voltage applied by the drive? They spec'd mine out also and they say the Z is plenty big. Well maybe they have been helping you that's why ...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

I have Dyn4's also but this chart hasn't seem to help me with Over Heat/Over Current? I have been up and down it multiple times but still get faults when my Z axis is just sitting trying to hold position. I have DMM 750w Servos. If you have any advise though i am open to any ideas? How big is you ma...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Yes i removed the motor and it will not trip without a load on it, unless i didn't wait long enough but i ran it solid for a long time and pushed on the shaft with a wooden handle trying to create some kind of pressure and nothing.

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Yes i did swap Z axis drive and motor with the Y. When i get up to the top i start getting a louder hum and then it trips out so i don't know what setting to start with? I am just commanding it through DDMRV with only the Z axis on and Acorn powered off and unplugged and it still faults. Here are my...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Well after messing with this all morning, changing settings and leaving it a different positions there is no change in faults. It still faults no matter were i put it and when changing settings it only seems to change how fast it comes in but its not even that reliable because it varies also. I have...

Re: DMM Dyn4 Drive Faults, Noise/Feedback Issues

Well I started in on that tonight and will update you tomorrow on progress. And I originally was looking at counter weighting it but not for these reasons. I was gonna do it to get some more speed out of the Z.

Thanks again I appreciate the help thus far!!!
