Re: ball screw compensation

Ok Thanks... I see what you mean. I still do not understand some things: 1) Is the zero position on the correction table the zero home ( Machine coordinate) or the workpiece coordinate zero? 2) if the zero is the home zero what do we if out table is more than 4 inches? 3) If the zero is the workpiec...

ball screw compensation

I am trying use the ballscrew compensation under the M Comp configuration. I did the measurtement and filled out the table. On exit from the tasble it makes makes reference to changes to a laser table. This is a conventional bench top mill. Can I use this compensation for such a mill vs a laser tabl...

upgrade 4.20.1

I just upgraded yo 4.20.1 and I noticed that motor selection no longer allows for "other". I have a simple KL open loop stepper. I tried out the Leadshine DM and it requires that I reverse direction to make it work properly. The same was true for for "chinese router". When revers...

Re: Upgrade Issues. Drive Faults and Jerky behavior

I feel you pain. Your decription of the jerky behavior and persistant send/resend log errors shure sounds like the pain I endured for months. In my case the machine would reach the point were it actuaslly reversed direction. Thinking it was a communication issue I added double shielded ethernet cabl...

input 4 / input 6

The wiring schematic show functions "Drive OK" and " probe detect" for input 5 and 6 respectively. If I have no need for the two functions are they available for other function such as tool trigger. The wizard seem to allow such assignment but I have found that using tool trigger...

Ethernet communication problem

I am try to clear up some communication error between the pc and the acorn. I saw a program that I had not noticed before called "intel network connections 202.4001.0." The program could be uninstalled so I figured it was a non essential and I uninstalled the app. I went to the ethernet ne...

Re: chasing down noise

I will do so to the extent that I can. The underlying communication problem is intermittent to the point where are no send/receive cycles for days and then it pops up to the point where the error log is flooded with errors and the machine is unusable without a reboot. I will wait until it get floode...

chasing down noise

I have a communication problem between MPU and the software. The single point ground has been confirmed. I am useing a double shielded Ethernet cable. Signal and power runs have been separated by distance. I have chasing down noise problems with my newly acquired scope. As I suspected everything has...

Re: wireless MPG problem

I was bit wordy with the point I was making: In the interval below 16:04:30 to -16:09:30 (Block1 events) the machine was started, homed and the axis were exercised with VPC and the MPG OFF. There are 2 send/receives cycles In the next block2 events the MPG was turned ON and the machine jogged with t...
