Re: CIRCULAR POCKET TOOL OFFSET

OK Tom. Thanks for looking at my pictures. That was it. I feel so ignorant. :oops: btw until the M6 SHC screws didn't fit, I have let Fusion360 do all my gcode. This was my first attempt with Intercon. thats because the circular pocket should be 11mm for the head and 6.6mm bore for the shaft. IMHO ...

Re: Notepad++ Compiler error

Take a closer look. If setup like TB294 correct and .src file correct it compiles.

Re: Calculate Vfc with M55

Humm... in your VCP I see buttons I do not have. The 45's between the X & Y jog buttons and the Axis 0 and All zero. He posted about it here https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=7356 and maybe in another thread as well, but cant find it The new buttons are in Acorn 4.79 Beta3. ...

Calculator on the VCP

Played with macros.... :) Made an M55 macro to calculate Vfc for circular pockets or internal thread milling, for the case I can´t find my calculator :mrgreen: Replaced code with a correct calculating version and logic for senseless user input :D ;----------------------------------------------------...

jep usually the error is in front of the CNC :)

You will also have to consider, that if Vf F200 on the outside of the bore is needed, in this case write Vfc F11.39 for the G2 moves.

Re: CIRCULAR POCKET TOOL OFFSET

I'm hijacking this thread since all the experts chimed in... Intercon - circular pocket. I have a 3/8" dia end mill = 9.525mm and I need to make a counterbore of 10.1mm x 10mm deep. I can't seem to get the program to post. It gives me an error on the circular pocket line but I don't know what ...

VSCode loads to slow for my taste compared to NP++

I see no benefits for CNC use compared to NP++

Re: Anyone ever use Acorn for a surface grinder?

Steppers are to slow compared to the speed old hydraulic operated grinders work with....

Z will need to be under CNC control to let the grinder run for its own. Quite boring to feed every 30s or so till all passes are done.
