along with an " A.04 User Constant Error". Have restored the original parameters on the drive as well with no improvement. No parameters are out of range in either config. The drive claims that parameters are out of range. I would expect that either a parameter is out of range, or the dri...

Re: Sending serial commands from G code

M120 and related file access codes used to work for COM ports, I haven't tried it in a while. Baud rate, etc. defaults have to be set up outside of CNCxx (in device manager). USB to serial COM port numbers change unexpectedly, so you have to keep on top of that. The setup wouldn't be very robust for...

Re: Acorn STEP/DIR timing requirements

it requires a time-out betweenn the DIR and STEP signals of at least 35 us when reversing motor direction (please find attached a timing diagram). This should be fine. ACORN sets up direction as soon as possible for cases like this. But if there are STEP pulses coming from Acorn within those 35 us ...

Re: DB25 BOB connection?

The jack screws in the ACORN should unscrew easily. The shielding will be less than ideal when using a breakout board anyway. Just run the drain wire to H9 EGND or an ACORN mounting hole.

Re: The Hickory CNC controller is now available.

Do you see any hope for a user to make things work with an unsupported ethercat servo drive? Can I ask what servo drives you are currently testing? I have been interested in both the EL8 Series from Leadshine and the Delta ASDA-A2 series. There is no chance of getting an unsupported drive to work. ...

HICKORY can control certain EtherCAT servo drives. It is a limited release at this time.

sigma 5 does not have that feature as far as we can tell.
