Re: rapidchange ATC

There have been other DIY Tool Changers similar to this around for a while, mostly used with 1/8" end-mills from what I have seen. It probably has it's application on light duty milling, but as Uwe states, proper torque of the collet is essential. How many posts do you see for broken end mills ...

I am happy to announce that Centroid CNC12 v5.07 rev5 BETA is now available for download and testing.
Does this require a fresh install or should we test as an update of existing?

Re: We are working on Adding Rapid Override controls to the VCP

My vote is for the one button to toggle Rapid/Feed, less clutter. Just a thought - maybe make the Rapid/Feed button change color to the background selection For example - For normal feed rate selected and light grey border background for feed rate, the button would be dark grey For rapid Feed Rate O...

Re: upgrade reverts to free

You will need to re-install your Pro license after the upgrade. If you aren't able to locate it reach out to Centroid and see if they can send you the license again.

Re: Odd characters in CNC12 ver. 5

I ran into a similar situation today with odd characters in the MDI. in CNC5.04. MDI Charachter edit MDI CMD above bottom block Screenshot 2023-07-09 121738.png I was measuring tool offsets and was using the arrow up key to select G30 ( used to move over my fixed touch plate ) and then arrowed up to...

Re: CNC12 v5.04 has been released.

If you have a Mill Pro license you will need a Router Pro license when you load Router profile. IIRC you can upgrade from Mill Pro to Router Pro for a small fee.

Re: CNC12 v5.0+ Draft Operator's Manual Mill/Lathe

Will there be a router manual or will the Mill manual be used for the Routers? If the mill manual will be used for the router, it may be a good idea to have a router/plasma table graphic for the X-Y-Z movements. It may make the X-Y-Z orientation for a gantry machine a little more clear than someone ...

I wired my Y+ limit switch and set it up in the Wizard. No harm, just an added safety margin.

Re: It's me again, Clearpath losing/gaining steps

How do I configure the motor to recover from lost steps. Refer to the SDSK manual, page 75 for position recovery. The reference voltage for the clear paths is recommended to be +5VDC, there was a discussion and thread about this and resistor values https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=47292...
