The price is on his website: https://cosmos-industrial.com/index.php ... ucts_id=61

I settled on SheetCam software to generate the tool paths. It was under $200 and it works just fine. Some quirks but its good.........

Re: Software Recomendations?

Bode - SolidWorks Pro and SolidCAM here. Should do everything you need. Congratulations. Thanks! So I may be bugging you with questions! LOL! I have it downloaded and installed. Still waiting for the post processor. Person I needed for the post processor was on vacation. I actually ended up with CA...

Re: Digi Probe and Fusion 360

2D or 3D? I have successfully taken 2D files from a digitized Centroid CNC11 output file into excel, cleaned it up just a tad and saved it as a .csv file. Then I imported the csv file into Fusion 360. Takes a while. But didn't get great results with 3D - seems to overwhelm Fusion 360 if a big file. ...

Re: Software Recomendations?

Gulp...take a look at BobCad/Cam I have a friend that runs a CNC shop and likes it. I bought Solidworks Professional CAD and CAM Standard so I don't have to be on subscription. The CAM was $2700 which is less than 2 years of subscription......... $7800 total with year end discount. Not too cheap.

Well I did find out you have to be on subscription to get the Solidworks CAM with the CAD package...........

Re: Software Recomendations?

After a bunch of research, I decided that Solidworks CAD Professional with Solidworks CAM Standard with a custom post processor was right for me. I feel I got a good deal. Now I just need to figure out how to use it! LOL! Will take a while but I am looking forward to the challenge...........

Re: VFD recommendation needed ! Bridgeport Boss Acorn conversion

I certainly like my WEG Electric CFW300. It has fantastic programming usb port, if you are into that kinda thing. Super easy to setup. I purchased it thru automation direct. I will second the WEG CFW300. I am a little biased but it is a good drive. I know the WEG guys extremely well all the way to ...

Re: Software Recomendations?

Stripped down version of SolidWorks is just a CAD system, isn't it? You still need to add a CAM package on top of that. Not anymore. A couple of years ago Solidworks Cam Standard became part of the Solidworks CAD package including a post processor for Centroid. The stripped down version does not in...

Re: Software Recomendations?

Unless your budget is over $10k, I would find a way to get over your convictions about Fusion. You underestimate my distaste for Auto desk! LOL! I have narrowed my choice down to a stripped down version of Solid Works or EZ Cam but Solid Works looks more promising. Problem is I don't know what I do...
