Re: Shopbot PRT - fresh install CNC12
Shoot... I thought I had done that. Apologies. I’m 400 miles away from the machine now. I’ll have another go when I get back home in a week or so. I’ll go through that thread you provided, and (when I get back) double check my selections for the creating the homing routine in the Acorn Settings wiza...

Re: Shopbot PRT - fresh install CNC12
It was not a custom file. I don’t have a report as my control computer died and I never made any copies of any of my reports. I did go back into the CNC12 Wizard and create a homing routine (I had not done so previously) and now it tries to home on start up. But when it does the homing routine, it j...

Shopbot PRT - fresh install CNC12
I had to do a fresh install of CNC12 Router. I had Mill running previously before my control machine died.
I think I have all my settings right, or at least how they were before.
My "home" routine, for X and Y, isn't working now.

Welp... learn from my mistake...
Looks like the HDD in my control computer has died. Should be an easy enough fix, just reinstall on a new control computer and restore from your latest backup of your settings file and system report... If only I had a backup copy of my settings file and system report. In spite of the fact I have pil...

Re: ShopBot PRT Stepper Tuning
I had those same motors on my 2004PRT.
In my Acorn conversion I stuck with Gecko 203V drivers.
I was able to purchase a couple used A7328-9412KTG's off the talkshopbot site last year and used those to replace my two X motors.
The difference in sound and performance was amazing.

Re: File that Marty requested from Sawmill Creek
I think you can find my build thread here in the Centroid forum by searching "Hold my beer". In there I mention the steppers my machine has. Since then I purchased these steppers: http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?25081-x-stepper-motor&p=205003#post205003 And put them on ...

Re: File that Marty requested from Sawmill Creek
If the Acorn isn’t a good fit for you, it’s not a good fit. I have a 2004 PRT that I replaced the 4G SB controller with an Acorn control that I built with much help from folks here. Kept the SB steppers and cables and built a control box the plugs right up. Used Gecko 203v drivers just like the ones...

Re: vexta A7243-9412ktg stepper
I'm using A7328-9412KTG's on my X axis and A6497-9412KTG's on my Y and Z axis.
I use Gecko G203v drivers with my Acorn.
I've never had a problem with this combo.
