Re: Acorn burned down < strand of hookup wire on board>.

Or can anyone suggest replacement for the lenze speed controller which would be compatible with acorn and drive this motor?

Re: Acorn burned down < strand of hookup wire on board>.

I’m gonna buy a new beaglebone which burned and new signal conditioner to get isolation on analog inputs. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/signal-conditioning/8842458/ Can anyone please provide me with some links and video how to quickly flash and synchronise the beaglebone with acorn? I want to get r...

Re: Controlling spindle direction through relay

I'm concerned your spindle de ve does not provide isolation on the analog inputs. I have seen drives with no signal isolation blow up Acorns. You should call Lenze and leave the analog signal disconnected until you know for sure. Actually I believe that is the main reason for the fireworks and also...

Re: Controlling spindle direction through relay

Yeah main reason to wait for the spindle to stop was to be able to rigid tap on the machine

Re: Acorn burned down < strand of hookup wire on board>.

Ok... so I get stuck here... I get 0v between ground and ethernet casing with everything connected apart from analog output from acorn to the dc drive. Once the analog output is connected I get 90V between ethernet casing and ground... I’ve checked all grounding and it looks ok. What else should i c...

Re: Enable Lenze DC spindle drive

Oh ok.. that is what i didn’t know... i thought it will be easier for other users with the same problem just to look for the problem rather then listing through thousand pages on one single thread... sorry for that.. I will do that in a future. Thanks for the schematic.. will look into it right afte...

Re: Acorn burned down < strand of hookup wire on board>.

You'd hope for the 19V PSU to be floating WRT ground. 94V sounds rather a lot, so you'd want to be concerned about what's causing it, not least if it can frazzle your Acorn. If it has enough oomf to can damage the Acorn, it could be hazardous to you. You should have good hard protective earth conne...
