Re: Lathe usb (contour shuttle) jog axis labels wrong <resolved>
Thanks Keith, really appreciate the follow up communications and acknowledgement that there was a minor issue, especially being as it's a 3rd party device that you could have just said was no longer supported because it was superseded...

just to be clear I did not change the axis from 1=Z 2=X
The Wizard seems to have reset the message PLCmsg.txt back to the Mill style 1=x 2=y 3=z so this resets the messages to display the wrong axis selection for Lathe

Re: Lathe usb (contour shuttle) jog axis selection moving wrong axis
Yes, it was nothing to do with contour shuttle or its programming, it was that the lathe and 3+ axis CNC have their axis swapped about, but this is not reflected in the plcmsg.txt file that the PLC program looks up to display a message of what has been selected.

Re: Lathe usb (contour shuttle) jog axis selection moving wrong axis
I've sorted the solution after trawling through the PLC program i realised its not there!
plcmsg.txt is what needs editing to show the correct axis for lathe, just change the text in there as this is where the PLC looks up for messages.

Re: Lathe usb (contour shuttle) jog axis selection moving wrong axis
You will need to edit the PLC program logic and message texts to match the lathe configuration. Thank you. That is what I needed to know! I've got something to work with now, I didn't think it was a contour software setting. Is there really no chance an edit being included a software release to cor...

Re: Lathe usb (contour shuttle) jog axis selection moving wrong axis
This is what it's doing on, I'll update tomorrow when I try swapping physical axis outputs and re allocate them to match the inputs.

I'm my with the machine ATM but if there isn't a setting solution would moving the axis to 2 & 3 be work around?
