Re: Communication Errors-Travel Limits spontaneously changed "0" & other issues
Double checked drivers and it doesn't look like there has been update for quite some time so it probably wasn't a driver problem but I did get windows to do some more updates over the weekend and it's I had no errors testing it this morning.

Re: Acorn CNC12 Mill, Router, and Lathe v4.6 has been released!
Could there something on the new version that may be causing the 944 mpu request resend and 946 pc resending errors? There seems to be more of it in people's fault logs?
I'm not asking for help so not posting a report yet...

Email centroid, they should be able to sort things out for you.

Re: Communication Errors-Travel Limits spontaneously changed "0" & other issues
I've just started having 944 mpu request resend and 946 pc resending errors after doing a bit of "maintenance" and running updates on my all in one lenovo, doesn't happen with the same setup including ethernet cable using another PC so I'm going to have a play with drivers. May have to try...

Re: Lathe tool setup question
The dimensions you have given are not for an inscribed circle as they are on the corners of the tool, so you are actually confusing things there.
An Inscribed dimension for a tip is the largest circle that will fit inside the edges.

Re: Limit Switch overide issue
Why not set you limits up properly so they are never reached?

Re: Lathe tool setup question
I don't use rhino so not sure what inscribed circle refers to but it's is it tool tip radius because from your dimension that makes no sense? I would ask what you are planning on using the tool for? It is of limited use really unless unless you have particular requirements for front and back cutting...

Re: How to Zero Encoder Count
Interpretation of the question; I was read as 0 count was changing every revolution, not controller power cycle. If the encoder is working correctly the 0 isn't going to shift during use. As a side note: I mark my spindles with the encoder index pulse correspondingly I have also lined it up with jaw...

Re: How to Zero Encoder Count
Encoder count always starts from the same place, that's what the Z signal from the encoder does I believe. If its not then is your screw cutting functioning correctly?
You could mark your spindle with the 0 position.

I don't have an answer but curious to what you are planning to control?
