OK, i am after something here... I think i found the problem why it did hang in IndexTurretStage: The IndexTurretStage asks for ATCType_M 1, 2, 3 or 4. But in the parameters-explanation for P830 (ATC-Type) it says i should enter 8 for 4bit, 16 for switched reverse and 32 for self-reversing. As mine ...

Just make a copy of your cncm folder before and maybe a fresh report.
The you should be able to restore anything if needed

I just tried, but I only get error messages about missing MemoryBits, with both, M18 and M21 (found in other turret instructions).
And as I said, the turret index button does nothing here, too.

As my turret is a 4bit-grey-code, it should know where it sits all the time without homing, btw.

Now i also found, what you are talking about... That command is not listed in the instructions of the "Lathe_Turret_Gray_Code_1_Output"-folder, only in the "Lathe_Turret_Axis"-folder instructions.
