KP-3 Probe Woes
I purchased this probe back in Spring, but just started using it. Pretty much hobbyist with no time syndrome, lol. Anyway, it's accuracy has been questionable on a few parts that I started making over the last 2 weeks. It sticks in the "tripped" position sometimes. Worse, when it does not ...

Re: Offline writing
The free hobbyist version of Fusion 360 does include limited 2D and 3D CAM, but I am not sure how limited it is. It still might be better than Intercon for more complex operations.

Re: Upgrading 1984 Wells Index 820 with Allin1DC
After the M92 and M26 commands in your homing file, you can do a G92 to set the G54 coordinates to zero. In my homing file I do G92 Z0 with the quill retracted, and I send the X and Y axis to the center of travel and then do a G92 on them. It really doesn't matter if you do the G92 to zero the posit...

Re: inconsistant positioning
I thought about the Ram being loose, but thought it was so obvious that I didn’t want to be insulting. No worries as it is always the obvious that gets me too..,

Re: Bridgeport Mill Fault Codes
When the Estop contactor is closed and motors drawing current idling, measure the voltage from one side to the other, across each closed contact. If the contacts are failing you will see a voltage drop across them as they develop a high resistance. I doubt the snubber is an issue as the machine has ...

Re: turn off jog lock
I got my Pendant but did not realize I needed to upgrade to pro to use it, so I’m working on that to get upgraded. I use one at work and yes it’s exactly what I need just not there yet. Im it’s using continuous jog to get close then switch to incremental. Still would like to know why it’s locking o...

Re: Touch off Confusion
You enter the tool number you are touching off with, and that becomes the reference that enables CNC12 to compensate for other tool heights if you have them entered into the tool table. Step #3 in the on screen instructions tells you to enter the tool number being used- that is- the one you are touc...

Re: turn off jog lock
If you are in continuous jog mode, you should not have to click many times as you stated. You are probably clicking faster than can be processed in real time. If you are creeping up the last bit and clicking away, you should be in incremental mode. There is nothing like an MPG for moving the final b...

Re: inconsistant positioning
How about a make and model of this machine so we get an idea what you are dealing with. I assume these servo motors were used with the Fagor control?
