The sensors I bought from Automation Direct work good. Lot's of options to fit your mounting and sensing distances.

Re: Text alerts?
If you want a text alert, you could use an Arduino. As above, program a relay output and it can be used by the Arduino to send the alert.

Re: M6 Dwell Time
Thanks Gary, I don't have my accel set at 10 seconds, that would take way to much time :) I did see your comments before about the M100/101 and I do have an output contact like that on my drive. Honestly, I'm hoping to do it without the extra wiring. Like you said, I'd like to time it so when the cu...

Re: M6 Dwell Time
For anyone else interested, the M3 does not have any delay. Here is the modification to the M3 that I made to add a 10 second delay. ;------- ;M3 macro ; Displays message to select auto spindle mode if it is not set ;------- IF #4202 || #4201 THEN GOTO 200 M95 /2 M94 /1 G4 P10 IF #61058 THEN GOTO 2...

Re: DRIVER DMM FAULT
Jerry Rdz,
I've included a chart of the DMM Faults. Lost phase is an encoder discrepancy issue. You can see DMM has some trouble shooting tips.

Re: Acorn to DMM DYN4 - Differential Line Driver Board
I had short lived success with my first version. It was my fault, I shorted the IC's out by using isopropyl alcohol to clean the pins while the board was powered and fried the drivers. I had trouble soldering the SMD driver on the first board and had to ask a favour from a friend with a reflow oven....

Re: Another DYN4 and Acorn Losing Steps Issue
I am in the process of bench testing my Acorn and DMM DYN4's. I haven't noticed any particular lost step problems yet. I have tried with connections to the DB25 and to the screw connections. I think we need to have some electronics expertise lean into this discussion. I would encourage that response...

Re: Acorn to DMM DYN4 - Differential Line Driver Board
Success! Differential board seems to work perfectly. I tested it one axis at a time. Next step is to get the rest of my DB9-DB25 cables made and then run some test code with all the servos and verify that I'm not losing steps. I will use as high a gear number and velocity as I can and max out the Ac...

Re: Acorn to DMM DYN4 - Differential Line Driver Board
Made some progress yesterday on my circuit board. I used a friend's reflow oven to solder the SMD components on. I made the cable from the Acorn DB25 connector to the differential step breakout board. I'm hoping to get a chance to test that the board works this weekend.

Re: DMM Dyn4 brake (BKO) wiring / relay help
I would highly recommend using an external relay. You will be able to find a 24V relay from Digikey or Automation direct, or even just a local electrical supply store. Here's one from Digikey that should work. https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=PB1259-ND. Just follow the schematics in the ...
