Re: Intercon C axis turning

Kool, thanks for the info. It will be a while before I get to that stage, I still have a lot to learn first. Hopefully it will be out before I get to that stage. Another question if you dont mind, how so you switch between spindle and servo mode? I understand the mechanics but in code? Do you have t...

Re: Intercon C axis turning

Yes macros are where its at. I did a macro for knurling that was inspired by your recent milled knurl only I used a threading insert. The results were less than desirable but it was worth a shot. I will have to play with fusion to post some code across and see how it goes. I know I have a lot to lea...

Re: Intercon C axis turning

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I am up for a few crashes 🤣🤣 I will have to brush up on my hand coding. I have never had to transfer anything across from fusion though, is it a difficult process or does it go smoothly once set up? I eventually want to replace my acorn with the six as my end goal i...

Intercon C axis turning

Hi all, I am running a standard acorn lathe conversion (CNCT Pro with encoder) and have been drooling over the impressive work Uwe has been doing on his awesome set up. Now I have decided to do the C axis conversion to my machine. My issue is I have no idea where to start with Intercon. A while ago...

Re: hobbing in the lathe, is it possible?

In this case I am guessing that the acorn 6 would be qble to do this? If so, how possible or feasible is it to re-use an acorn board? I have a few machines that are running mach3/4 and this lathe was the first centroid conversion. Obviously I have seen the light and want to convert my other machines...

hobbing in the lathe, is it possible?

Hi all, I have been wondering for a while now about gear/spline hobbing on the lathe. Only looking at theoretical for the minute. I will go down the path of enabling c axis control of my spindle after seeing the great success from uwe. It has made me wonder if it is possible to index the spindle rot...

Re: C-Axis for lathe (construction in progress)

That looks awesome. How are you programming the live tooling? Are you using cnct or cncm

Software travel parameters

Hi all. I have recently had a few lathe jobs that have required me to remove the section bed from under the chuck. This has prompted me to want to create a “bed removed” button on the VCP. Basically I want to change the Z negative parameter between the two safe limits for when the bed is in or out. ...

Re: Threading tool check?

That’s a shame. Pity the system doesn’t use “long hand” so as to be able to start midway, or auto generate new code using parameters from the existing code endpoints and the current X pos.
