Re: Switchboard Power Supplies

There are two power circuits on DYN4. Logic Power and Motor Power. It is my contention that you wire logic power to come on when the control is powered up. You wire motor power through an ESTOP relay. DMM has recently made some changes and this question is best posed to them. Its their drive. I have...

Just curious I am having a similar problem. What did you set your Accel and deaccel parameters to, default was 10 sec ?

Thanks Joe
Joe, what are you trying to do?
Is your inverter functional and under Centroid Control?
Need more information about your particular application.

Re: PLC Program For Emco PC Turn 55 (using original turret board and motor) <Success>

Ok, wasn't thinking.....LOL. Forgot to just hit reset twice and then all is back to normal if you fault the turret. Anyway, I've played with this code lathe turret enough to feel pretty good that it will work fine. Mario ran some Gcode that just did a bunch of turret moves and it worked fine. We te...

Re: First Project | proLIGHT | Acorn Conversion

Don't hold me to this but I think you would want a 4 or 5 way air solenoid valve. Perhaps someone here more in tune with pnuematics can chime in.
Save that manifold as it is. Just buy one. Ebay sells them. Choose the voltage you want to use, get a momentary button to actuate the valve. Easy.

Re: First Project | proLIGHT | Acorn Conversion

Don't understand your question or concern. I would not sell the power drawbar unit if you ever want to have a functional ATC. You can buy decent new solenoids on ebay. What's wrong with your solenoids? Marty Sorry for not being clear, I may be over complicating this.... I'm not interested in the AT...

Re: Build log: Emco Compact 5 CNC Acorn conversion

Here is a video showing the problem I'm having with the motor drive. With low speeds the motor starts, kind of stops and immediately continues to rotate. Well, have a look at the video to get the idea. With higher speeds it's running smooth. I'm sure this will be an easy fix by adjusting ACCEL, MIN...

Re: New to Board/New Build: PM30-MV Mill, Acorn, CNC12 pro, DMM DYN4 & .75KW SERVO X/Y/Z, DMM SERVO SPINDLE !!

Certainly your call on how you want to set up your Z axis. You want a brake, wire it up. It seems the DYN4 drive will close the brake circuit when it is not holding the servo. I think you might find there is plenty of friction on the dovetails that the head isn't just going to drop. Try it move it u...
