I use Centroid's cable but generally use my own encoders.

What brand/model did they send you? No sheet inside the box? I assume the encoder and cable were preconnectorized were they not? Or did you order bulk cable to terminate yourself?

Re: Question about the rev3 board's plug-in connectors.
Understand. I thought that might be the case. Shirt shielded cable might help. I'm not sure how a ribbon cable would do. Likely work.

Re: Question about the rev3 board's plug-in connectors.
I would have used a flat breakout board not a 90degree angled one, or perhaps remote mounted it.

Re: DYN4 servo spindle and Acorn issue with CCW rotation
Sorry, Val, I forgot to get back to you. Take a look at this diagram attached. The main changes from the Dyn4 wiring you got from DMM is the forward/reverse/enable goes through the 2 relays. Then you have to set SpinFwd and SpinRev to the 2 relay outputs using the Wizard. Hope you get it working. I...

Re: Jog panel buttons don’t match axis.
When pushing the jog button X., the Z motor axis moves. Pushing Y button, the X axis moves. Push Z button the Y axis moves. I Have tryed changing different axis setting in the wizard. It does not change jog panel to match the axis. I have Z motor wired to ST1, X motor to ST2, Y motor to ST3. No tou...

Re: DYN4 servo spindle and Acorn issue with CCW rotation
Hello All, I am in the process of converting my mini lathe to cnc using DYN4 servo as spindle and I am running into a small issue. I am not able to issue a reverse command and I think I have all the setting right in Acorn wizard, in particular output 5 set to SpinRev. I followed the wiring ( dyn4 t...

Re: Switchboard Power Supplies
Thanks Marty, These ones don't have earth on back. Wanted to check to see if I would have any issues using them i.e. ground loop... They make for a tidier install. Regards, Michael I don't think it will be an issue then. They are isolated, no metal chassis parts. That is my opinion. Carry on! Marty

Re: Question about the rev3 board's plug-in connectors.
I need the connector designation or pin sizes or something so I can get a few connectors to plug into the H4 individually. I'm sure it's a common thing but I can't come up with a search term that finds them. I don't want to cut up the one supplied with the board. That would be bad Ju-Ju. Why ...

Re: Switchboard Power Supplies
Some Din rail mounted equipment relies on the metal dinrail for chassis ground. There are special ground blocks that clamp to the din rail in order to provide a good ground.
