Re: New Project!

With an Allin1DC, you do not need the tachometers or their wires. I would keep the transformer, and either connect a Centroid CAPBRDLO rectifier assembly to the 100VAC secondary; or keep the original Chevalier rectifier assembly (bridge, cap, and resistor) likewise connected to that 100VAC secondar...

Re: New Project!

Took a new job so was put on back burner, But back on it, Finally. So going through got wired up to the actual servos. The machine has a transformer, pic attached. Not sure if it would be worth it to use. Unfortunately, in my knowledge 220v consists of 2 hot leads i assume 230v does as well but the...

Re: x-x+ jogging moves in the same direction in the x- direction <resovled>

You can use the DB25 cable with flying leads. Provided you connect the leads CORRECTLY Suggest you make a small spreadsheet or chart with the DB25 pin number and color and match it to the Acorn Function on its DB25 and then a column to where you will land those wires on the drives. To make sure you...

Re: x-x+ jogging moves in the same direction in the x- direction <resovled>

Marty and Keith are correct, those stepper drives need to be wired to the DB25 to work reliably. You need a breakout board and the drives wire to it. Here's a link to a breakout board from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RG3GG6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&...

Re: x-x+ jogging moves in the same direction in the x- direction <resovled>

Can you PLEASE post a picture or make and model of your drives? And or a link to its manual so we can better make a suggestion.
I gave an example of a schematic. you may NOT need an external power supply. Until we know exactly the make and model drive you are using, can't help you much more.

Re: x-x+ jogging moves in the same direction in the x- direction <resovled>

Keith is correct look at this schematic as an example: https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersupport/schematics/uploads/s15207.r1.pdf If you are going to rewire the control, get a DB25 male breakout board from Amazon and start fresh. You should REALLY be posting the make and model of the drives along wi...

Re: Conecting old fanuc dc drive

Hello Marty I'm Rafael Almanzar, a while ago we talked about the use of old Fanuc drives to be able to connect them with the centroid oak control And searching on the centroid page I found the article TB 233 (REV 1) Where it explains the connection of these old drives to the oak control and the 5M ...
