Re: How to set keyboard Arrows
Thanks Marty.. That brings up a couple questions: 1) Did you mean "Alt + J" rather than the "Alt + I" that you typed? 2) I just put a new dedicated computer in service yesterday. I used a report to transfer the settings from my old to the new. When I open the Wizard, non of the c...

Dbur... Those are from a batch I bought on eBay: search: Riko PSC0802-N M8 Inductive Proximity Sensor D=2mm IP67 NPN N.O. www.automationdirect.com has the 8mm (and 5mm) sensors also. A few buck more, but will allow you to select the preferred NC logic and pick a wire length. They also ship faster th...

Re: CNC12 unresponsive and ethernet communication error
Scot... I ran into the same issue. I was not using the "ENABLE" connections, are you? To test for the same issue, remove the 5vdc common connection from the 24vdc commons and see if the acorn will establish ETH connection. If so try using the attached schematic, and connect to relay 1 or 2...

Re: 4x8 CNC router table acorn compatability
Dan... I agree with Russ. I am going thru a number of the functions and features of the Acorn. I am receiving a great amount of assistance from the support crew. If you look over this thread: http://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1154 you will see that it looks like there will be some...

Grizzly G0752 Acorn Retrofit
Guys... Here is some shots of my first Acorn build. A Grizzly lathe I have used for about 5 years. I have always wanted to convert it to CNC, but I hadnt found any decent lathe CAD/CAM software. Sure some that would work for CAD, but seriously lacking in the CAM department. I bought my first Acorn t...

Re: Control Questions (Lathe Tailstock Limit Switch setup)
Last question on this item... thanks for the previous good info.
Is there a software (soft switch) limit override or will I need to provide a momentary physical switch to back off the triggered limit?
TIA, GC

Re: Control Questions
Scott... Thanks for the info. I will post my scenario as it could help someone in the future. My current build is a G0752 lathe. I am using npn inductance proximity sensors, 3 of them. One is on X+ (home towards operator), second is on the Z+ (home away from chuck). The third is located to prevent t...
