That I am really SURE I didn't. Thanks to your video on the tests by the way.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 2:12 pm Point being Acorn should NOT output anymore than 10vdc.
I'm afraid you may have connected to the VFD's potentiometer+10vdc supply which is a no-no....

NO I Didn't.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 11:32 am Did you follow this process outlined in Keith's post:

Thanks you for showing me that. I will do that today.
Can this be the cause of the higher voltages out of the acorn when the VFD is wired ?

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
That probably means the input impedance of the VFD analog input is too low and is forcing the Acorn to supply more current on the analog output terminals than it can supply causing the voltage to drop. You might try something like the FC-33 from automation direct - https://www.automationdirect.com/...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
What size/kind of wire are you using from the Acorn Analog output terminals to the VFD? If its shielded are you grounding the shield? Need more info.... Marty The wires are 0,75mm wires and they are not shielded. Wire size should be OK. Can you take a picture of your set up showing the wiring conne...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
Having the exact same problem. I'm fairly new to the acorn but everything that's happening with kevin is happening to me. Acorn's output is great when VFD is not connected to it but in my case it's going nuts as soon as I plug the VFD. It's doing 2-3 volts difference. This is a WEG CFW-300 VFD. A v...

Re: Wiring tormach ETS to acorn
With the ETS not connected to anything and voltages connected Do resistance measurements wiht a meter: 1)5V_pin1 --to-- signal_pin5 = ?? ohms 2)signal_pin5 --to-- GNDpin4 = ?? ohms 3)5V_pin1 --to-- GNDpin4 = ?? ohms -Can you dissasemble the ETS w/o damage? and try to fix it? -You might want to send...

NO changes at ALL. 0.00DCmartyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 10:57 am And no changes to the output voltage when you put a meter from DC power supply common to the output and setting the meter to DC voltage? No change when you trip the probe?

Re: Wiring tormach ETS to acorn
Well. My worst fears came true. The ETS does not signal. The led remains on all the time and when I trip the probe nothing happens. I will remove the tormach's din conector to see if the problem is there. It's a new, never used device but I have it for 2 years already. Any ideas why the LED remains...
