You mean put the capacitor between acorn and the VFD?

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
New info. If I hold the wires with my hands the voltage drops a little bit.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:43 pm I would go with Tom's earlier suggestion then with that board. It does not appear to be an Acorn issue.
Can be ground issues ?

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
You might be misunderstanding me. I want you NOT to use the wire in the plastic wireway. I want you to make up a pair of wires long enough to go from Acorn analog output to the VFD analog input EXTERNALLY and retest. The purpose is to see if you have any voltage or noise being induced on the pair o...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
Ok, I want you to disconnect the analog wires at Acorn and at the VFD. I want you to make up a pair of wires (about 18 gauge), twist them together. Long enough to reach from Acorn analog output to the VFD loosely, and connect them and restest. (Do not put them in the wireway, bypass it) keep them a...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
Even worse.
With acorn plugged of I measure on the analog input of the VFD it reads 1.5v
What the hell???

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
Thank you for posting the video. First command an M3s0 Then Command an M5 This should force Acorn t near 0 vdc Measure the voltage ON Acorn terminals with the VFD connected. What are you getting? If you have any voltage on the wires, unplug the Analog connector on Acorn and check the Analog input t...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
My apologies, I missed you posted the manual link. Yes, I agree Acorn +analog output to VFD Terminal 8 (Analog Input 1 Voltage) Acorn -(Com) analog output to VFD Terminal 7 (GND) Ok here is the link to the YouTube video of the test. This is very frustrating. I hope this can pop some lights. https:/...

Re: Analog voltage increases when VFD is connected
Did you bench test the VFD without connecting it to Acorn? Put a jumper from VFD common to forward, and use a common battery, and connect it's polarity to the VFD analog input common and 0-10vdc input? Yes I did as on your Video on youtube. Without the VFD attached the voltages are spot on at the a...

I have wired to the 7 and 8 on the NPN configuration.
