Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit
Does your CNC12 software start on boot up of your computer?. In may case the sequence doesn't matter if the computer is running before the ALLIN1DC is powered up but I manually run the software. If I start before the ALLIN1DC is ready I will get a similar error. Essentially telling me the board isn't...

Good News Bad Newws
I've been working on pneumatics and specifically a leak that was coming from the turret.. .so that's fixed but along the way something happened so I can not home, move the axes or turn on the spindle. I think I may have a timing issue with the turret but that shouldn't stop everything...right? It's ...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit
Gary I will say from the start that reading report files is just a hobby 8-) have you ever used WinMerge ? It's used to compare files.Download it, as it very handy. If you open the two files within your report zip file that begin with Report you will see differences between the two files. For exampl...

Re: No spindle spin up
I tried to spin manually and with MDI. I had a spindle fault that I cleared ...I just gave it a boost by hand and it spun up. I'll keep and eye on it

No spindle spin up
I've been away from the mill for a couple weeks and when I started it today I am unable to run the spindle. I'm guessing it may be a windows update caused problem ...

Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit
My problems in the pneumatic area are leaks...I can see the collet closer actuate when I apply air directly, but I cannot open and close properly yet. I can spin my turret and sometimes the ALLIN1DC is happy other times it kinda waits for a signal that it's finished... I always seem to have the corr...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
My pneumatic fixes; replacing the turret solenoid and the tubing for the components in the front cab, did not produce any exciting results...essentially limited change. I tried writing a turning program and it only got to the point of having the carriage go to the tool change position and stop... I ...

Re: Hardinge CHNC4 Retrofit
Last week I had a long discussion with a Clippard rep about the solenoid used for the air motor and he agreed it was shot. I have a new one and completed the install. I am going through the collet closer circuit as well so I need to get that wrapped up before connecting air to see what else is leaki...
