Re: Wait for spindle
Search for recent threads on this. A recent post by Marc explains how to add a test in the M3 macro to check for the spindle up to speed signal.

Re: Stepper motor driver not listed in config wizard
DB25 connector is for steppers and other 5V devices. Screw terminals are for servo drivers and 24V devices.

Re: Question on G1 move on lathe
I do it all the time on long stickout parts for the finish cuts to get the taper down to less than 10 microns.

Re: question on hardware pairing and auto home/squaring
It's not really "auto squaring" and therefore doesn't use the slave input. As the manual states, you need to write a homing routine that uses outputs to control relays that physically disconnect the step wires of the two hardware paired motors. Your home routine would then connect one moto...

Re: Intercon enhancement request
Which side of the arc or line should the finish pass be on? Should the finish pass keep the same arc angle, or should it keep the same chord length for arcs? For angled lines, should the finish pass be the same length, or should it maintain the same tangency points as the rough cut? Should finish pa...

Re: Wierd tool offset issue
edit: I'll add that I just don't understand why CNC12 doesn't know to use H1 if it knows T1 is present. Because you don't have to use H1 with T1. You can use H12, or H93, or any other height offset with ANY tool. This lets you do rough and finish passes with the same code by calling a different off...

Re: Can someone give me a hand with Intercon Lathe Chamfers?
position the tool tip where you want to start the chamfer before programming a chamfer This is the way all Intercon and G-code moves work. They all expect the current move to begin where the last move ended. This gives YOU the flexibility to program any moves you need to clear the work or any fixtu...

Re: my haas mini to hickory controller spindle motor question
For spindle orient, the VFD needs an encoder coupled 1:1 to the MOTOR shaft. For rigid tapping, Centroid needs an encoder coupled 1:1 to the SPINDLE. If the motor and spindle are connected with a toothed belt that cannot slip at a 1:1 ratio, then only a single encoder is needed and that is usually a...
