For this one time use I would solder the wires directly to the board..

Re: Acorn Geckodrive g320x
The parts are looking like a lot of mechanical backlash with compensation not dialed in
5800mm/min with 2mm/rev is already 2900 rpm for the axis motor
If you want faster rapids change the gearing of the axis motors, but at first reduce the mechanical backlash

Is the tap you used for closed-end holes?

Re: Cutter Compensation for neutral tool orientation
0.8mm depth of cut and profile start at 122mm.
Sometimes you have to change the depth cut and start diameter to avoid cutting the profile.

Re: Cutter Compensation for neutral tool orientation
Pls post the Intercon file.
Under certain conditions it helps to change the depth of cut.

Re: Rigid Tapping Trouble <resolved, wrong encoder>
#37 is the time from tapping speed to 0, not from the max possible spindle speed.
Measured this with a sound spectrum analyzer while testing. Set to 0.2 = 0.2sec from 2000rpm tapping to 0
That needs to set up the spindle driver to 0.1s deceleration /1000rpm
