Re: Benchmill with steppers, missing steps, pulse revs, unable to tune
It would be nice if we had velocity mode and the other features to tune the steppers so I could dial them in. Not sure at this point what else can be done if there isn’t a way to adjust them. Ask the motors are direct drive on x and y and belt driven on the z. It’s a enco rf30

Re: Benchmill with steppers, missing steps, pulse revs, unable to tune
Issue is I’ve tried every single dip switch option and nothing functions as it should. I had this same issue on another machine I dumped a year ago and it wouldn’t work with steppers either. My two centroid machines running servos run fine. I tried my backup Mach 3 as usual because it always pulls t...

Re: Pin out for MTS30M4-48 servo replacement
We’re seeing if the encoder shaft size is the same and will swap them if we can. Would save a tremendous headache without a pin diagram.

Pin out for MTS30M4-48 servo replacement
I need a diagram that describes the pin out or wiring color code for an older MTS30M4-48 140v used on an older M400 serial b6fc-120. I have a new Glentek servo and it’s 180vdc, tach and 5v dynapar encoder. New motor is a Glentek GM4050-38-22906801-196a. Looks like the new motor is a 500ppr encoder a...

Re: Does DIGITIZING REALLY WORK WITH ACORN? Mine dont
Here is an unlisted video on YouTube. I’ve been very polite not making any issues known beyond the forums because I want to believe this works. https://youtu.be/GPp27x8nbGE So the last run I did I literally physically pushed my axis off the part while it was trying to jam my stylus over the edge aga...

Re: Does DIGITIZING REALLY WORK WITH ACORN? Mine dont
I should also clarify that the probe is connected to input 8 and common. I also checked the plc screen and it activated green when triggered. So the issue is even when the probe is triggered that the software or control doesn’t always know what direction to move it. almost like a cross between open ...

Re: Does DIGITIZING REALLY WORK WITH ACORN? Mine dont
And another probe. It gets caught in a corner and doesn’t back off instead it pushes right through and over the part. It’s always a corner. I’ve seen it do just fine and back off and touch off as it’s supposed to. This is the glitch I’m referring too. Also see where I started my base z zero. I’ve tr...

Re: Does DIGITIZING REALLY WORK WITH ACORN? Mine dont
Here is one of the things it’s doing and I’m starting my wall scan .010 off the bottom edge surface and the total height I even made it shorter just to not risk going over the top. Of course that’s another $30 stylus of dozen now bent.
