Is there a fault on the VFD? How are you commanding the spindle to move?

Here's the pinout for the DB25 on Acorn H6 for connecting 5V step and direction signals.

One side of the button to Acorn input, the other end to 24VDC common. Then in the Wizard assign CycleStart2 and FeedHold2 to the inputs that you wired your buttons to.

The serial number for Acorn boards are the last 4 digits in the SystemID, found in the first F1-Setup page.

This seems to me like the license has some sort of extension other than .dat, do you have file explorer set to show file extensions? What does windows think the type of file is?
