I don't have a wireless keyboard either. I had wired pendants on a few machines over the years that I was responsible for and rarely used a one of them. I do mostly small work which makes my "control panel only approach" still easy to reach

Re: keyboard jog
I agree with the surprise moves when using keyboard jog. It has caught me while using MDI inputs. This will be something I will have to get use to. The dos based software I have been using for the last 25 years has keyboard jogging and it is something that has become automatic to me. The wireless pe...

Re: Tune Servos
I received an answer from Marcus Freimanis from Geckodrive, Inc. He wrote" Yes, you can tune them while attached to the machine but the machine will mechanically dampen then motors, making tuning a bit harder. The machine will soften any bad motor behavior; you typically want it unconnected bec...

Re: Tune Servos
Thanks Marty I have looked at the videos you referred me to and they are both testing on the bench. I was actually hoping that the load of moving the table would do for tuning with an oscilloscope? I guess I will give that a try and if flopping around on a wood work bench is a requirement, I can alw...

Tune Servos
I have gotten the cart in front of the horse I think. I have Gecko G320X servo drives installed and working. They have not been tuned at all. That is, I did not change any pots from the initial factory settings before I installed them. I had planned to tune them with an oscilloscope, but installed t...

Re: G320X
Just had a great conversation with The Designer of the Gecko 320X. We agreed that a time delay relay to get the drive enabled was most likely the easiest for me. We also disused using the 5 volts to trigger a relay to control the 24 volt fault circuit on Acorn. He suggested a diode across the + and ...

Re: G320X
Update on G320X I could not get the motor to move using the screw terminals. In mu studies, I came across other Gecko drives with the same problem. The solution was to use the DB25 connector instead. That solution worked for me also. My motor took off and was surprisingly smooth with the factory set...

Thanks Chuck
I guess I should learn how to use the forum first.
I was trying to do the search, but did not know how to put it in properly.
You have helped me more than you know

G320X
I am sorry for asking a question that I am sure has been asked before. I did do many searches and I can not find the answer. Which schematic should I use with the Gecko G320X? I am setting up with brushed servos using a 56 vdc power supply The servo is rated at 60 volt max and 8.9 amp max continuous...
