Re: Smoothing?
Just using the vise for scale, it looks like the Z-axis has about a 8" span between linear bearings and a 12" overhang. That could be a source of rigidity problems. Could be some twisting going on in the Z structure which is why cuts look good in the X direction and in the Y direction but ...

Re: Starting CNC without Last program Run Default
From page 271 in the user manual 15.1 User Specified Paths Operators can now specify paths for INTERCON files, posted INTERCON files, Digitize files and CAD files. These paths are specified in pathm.ini. This file is automatically generated by the CNC software if it does not exist. The default pathm...

Re: Bitmap Image for manual axis part setup screen
Keith,
Latest report on the mill I did my testing on. Manual axis is the 7th axis and displays the position from the glass scale on the knee.

Re: Bridgeport Powertron Servo Motor Connections to Allin1DC Conversion
Nope. You just want to make sure the motor is turning the same direction as the encoder is reading. When the motor turns counterclockwise, the encoder should be reading positive. If not, swap the two motor leads. See page 48 in the ALLIn1DC Install Manual

Re: System variables related to M94/M95?
Jim,
That information is in a combination of places. The CNC12 mill/lathe user's manuals have information on the system variables in the M94/M95 reference. More information on the SV_M94_M95_? system variables can be found in the CNC12 PLC programming manual.

Re: How to launch cnc12
You may run into problems if Windows starts CNC12 before the Acorn gets a heartbeat.

Re: Who is up and running on CNC12 4.14?
Edward - even though you've configured your control for metric, you can still run programs in either metric or imperial units. The G20/21 is a modal command and it only affects programs and not the machine units and vice versa. As soon as you enter a G21 command either from a program or via MDI, it ...

Re: Bitmap Image for manual axis part setup screen
So, I went ahead and ran procmon after starting up CNC12. Went to part setup and cycled all the way through the axis X, Y, Z, M, and then back to X and I ended up with these file hits: C:\cncm\bmps\mstxctr.bmp C:\cncm\bmps\mstyctr.bmp C:\cncm\bmps\mstzpos.bmp C:\cncm\bmps\mstxctr.bmp Unfortunately, ...
