I don't use param 71 but this is a working "calibrate tool measure switch" macro. several things won't apply, but everything is noted to show what it is doing when.
I read that param's 700-799 are all open to use also.

Re: Invalid value, mfunc6.mac, line 158
Maybe I need to be "trained" also. I close out cn12 and reopen without a power cycle of the acorn and it opens with a different z height. It maintains where the xy are though. When it doubles the offset and you were expecting 4.5" bit height it doesn't go well when it decides it's 9&q...

Re: Invalid value, mfunc6.mac, line 158
Gary, Reliable and more foolproof for a new user of this machine are my goals. I understand the "one size fit's all" approach, but one size rarely does fit all. Mainly it sounds like the op had issues with the tool measure part, and if it were a separate macro, the m6 and the tool measure ...

Re: Invalid value, mfunc6.mac, line 158
Yours is a one size fits all tool change macro. Mine is simple, but modified for my machine. My Tool measure macro is different and not included, but my m6 calls for the tool measure afterwards. I am putting a copy of mine for you to see how a simple one works. Most M6 files need to be modified and ...

Re: wanting to retrofit 4x8 Multicam
I was able to make this one run VERY smooth with the 6410's and Vexta steppers.it came with. I'm pleased with it. Most will advise clearpath servo's and there are some suggested links up higher on this forum page. I have run and wired several other servo driven machines, but not the one most here ar...

Re: Spindle on Light
Got it. I left the text and changed the background to red. I prefer the visual to know it's turned on or off. I have a "wait for spindle stopped" line before going forward with the tool change, but I just wanted to see when it was active on the output.
Thanks

Re: Spindle on Light
I was just after an indication on the pc screen of if it is on or not. It does it with the vac hold and dust collection and it seemed odd that it did not do it with an M3
Did you use separate button folders, or put both images in the same folder?

Re: Spindle on Light
Thank you. I will tackle this project today. With dust collection and vac hold down systems running, I can't hear if the spindle is on or not, so a visual on the screen will help.

Re: wanting to retrofit 4x8 Multicam
Welcome. I have done a few multicam's and wrapping up an axyz right now. Does it have the pacific scientific 6410 Drivers? You can run a 3 phase spindle from single phase, as is, and you loose around 20% of your spindle hp. It depends on what voltage it is set up for, if that is an option. You can b...

Re: Configuration settings for YL620-A
I wasn't talking about output voltage from acorn. Your 110, 220, whatever you are powering up the vfd with is the voltage the error is talking about.
