Re: Strange noise on acceleration curve during motor tuning
Also, starting with slower acceleration times (like 0.5s) would make tuning easier. Then works towards faster acceleration.

Re: Strange noise on acceleration curve during motor tuning
Usually high frequency control oscillation is caused by too much proportional gain or not enough derivative gain. Usually a good PID tuning method is to start will really low Kp and 0 Kd and 0 Ki, low enough Kp that response is sluggish. Then start increasing Kp bit ny bit until you start seeing sig...

Re: CONFIRM ENCODER COMMUNICATION
Just for future reference, here is why the DMM LINE_NUM is 4095: The manual says: "Pulse output per revolution = LINE_NUM * 4" But actually for higher output frequencies, the equation is: unnamed (1).png So 4095, gives Encoder Line Number = 8192 A (or B) pulses per revolution, which is 327...

Re: CONFIRM ENCODER COMMUNICATION
First, test the DMM servos stand alone. For example with their self tuning software. If they are able to control themselves properly, then that confirms the drives are working and the encoders to the drives are working correctly. You may need to force your safety relay on during this test to prevent...

Oak acceleration S curve adjjustment
Can the acceleration S curve shape be adjusted on the Oak? Like on motor drives where you can adjust the acceleration/deceleration ramp in times and the constant acceleration time. It seems to me that these are fixed to 15% of the total acceleration time (as set in the PID config menu). Below is an ...

Re: CNC Crossroad
Just to give my opinion as I recently went through the process of trying to pair motors with aftermarket dries. It cost me three sets of motors, two types of servo drives and four different VFDs until I got a good working setup. Some of this due to my inexperience and some due to underperforming and...

Oh, interesting. I had no trouble with them. They are still sending me messages trying to sell me stuff! Maybe out of stock of that model. We cant really buy from ebay here so is probably a good choice if you can.

Re: Oak to Delta ASD-A2 Analog Control Wiring Question
I am fairly certain that the cable design is to allow you to choose among analog velocity mode, analog torque mode, or pulse-train position mode without having to change the cable. If you are planning to run in position mode, then you probably don't need to worry about any of the analog setups. Tha...
