System Test

Does anyone have a list of operations for the System Test? I know it first sends X to HOME, then completes the travel in the opposite direction. What is it looking for next, because it travels to the X+ limit switch, then it faulted and stopped the test. Must this limit switch be beyond the software...

USB to ISA

Greetings All,

I saw this card
http://arstech.com/install/ecom-prodshow/usb2isar.html
and I was wondering if the Centroid Tech Support (or anyone for that matter) thought that it might work with an ISA CPU card? Or a PC-104 card with the appropriate hardware adapter?

Re: Another screen problem

Depending on which motherboard is present, if it is an LCD problem, then you are also likely to have the option of a VGA connection.

Acorn CNC Plasma in commercial/industrial environment

Just wondering if anyone out there has used an Acorn controlled plasma as a "work" machine, as opposed to a hobby environment?

Re: X-axis Home shifting (Resolved)

Marc, once again, the depth of your expertise shines through. Changing M91/X to M92/X fixed the problem. I'm glad, because I just could not find any mechanical issue that could have been the cause. Thanks Again.

Re: re-named to 'Bridgeport EZ Trak Conversion.

The best thing I have found for cleaning old adhesive, grease, ink, really just about anything is spray Brake Cleaner. I have been using it for years. It cleans everything and does not leave any residue. Acetone is also very effective, but problematic with some plastics. In every case, always test o...

Re: X-axis Home shifting

What is strange, is that this error (fault?) only happens when starting up after PARK. In other words, just pressing Cycle Start. Otherwise, the machine is on the money. If I jog the X-axis prior to Homing (by pressing Cycle Start), the Home position is consistent. However, if I just press Cycle Sta...

X-axis Home shifting <resolved>

This machine originally had an M15 (#4846) control. About a year ago, I upgraded it to an Allin1DC (#103773). This machine has always used Reference Mark homing. The customer executes Park, and the DRO reads -0.625 mm for all three (3) axes. The problem occurs on the next Startup. I press Cycle Star...

Strange Problem

I am hoping that someone can help me, but I confess that I have not seen the problem first hand. A client just called me, and what he has reported does not sound logical or possible. The control is K10960. It was originally an M400, K6962, but the console has been updated to the newer style M400, wi...
