Re: Auto Square with NO NPN Proximity Sensors issues

Ok Keith so I tried it again this time removing the wires from input 7 and turning the input to unused still doesn't work. Any other suggestions? So far I have verified the sensors are working, I've disconnected the probe, and it still doesn't do anything but keep moving toward the hard stops. I als...

Re: Auto Square with NO NPN Proximity Sensors issues

Ok thanks Keith for taking the time on a Sunday. I did try turning off the probe, but will try it again. I also verified that the sensor's were all working in the alt I screen as well as swapping the slave to the home all and running it in mechanical square and it works fine. The other thing I tried...

Re: Refit of old CandCNC Machine

Looks like the typical Chinese spindle with no ground. There's a million threads out there on this. You need to attach a ground wire to the blank pin and attach it to the body of your spindle. Search the web for instructions since there's tons of how to video and threads on this. If you had smoke co...

Post pictures of the spindle and someone will be able to help. Pictures are the best way to get good info.

Re: Refit of old CandCNC Machine

Did you try running it with the cord out of the cable chain and not touching the machine or the other wires? I would speculate that it's the extension cord touching the other wires. If that isn't it maybe someone can weigh in on weather or not the router body needs to be grounded to the controller g...

Re: Refit of old CandCNC Machine

Thanks Dan, I downloaded Cut 2D Pro trial version last night and have a file to run today. May download a few others to try out. Do I have to install any full versions to the computer the trial version was on? Can't wait hope it works well. Be nice to have this all come together. After that and som...

Re: Refit of old CandCNC Machine

I use V-carve pro and it was as good of a decision as choosing the Acorn. The learning curve is just about non existent and it has the Centroid Post Processor with the software. And yes you just pay the difference if you decide to upgrade with vectric. In my personal opinion you'd be hard pressed to...

Re: Trouble Setting Up DB-25 Connections on Leadshine-Like Motors

So the pin out on the bob was different than the Acorn board DB25 pin out. I was just wondering what was causing the problem, glad you got it sorted out. BTW what kind of machine are you installing the Acorn on?

Re: Trouble Setting Up DB-25 Connections on Leadshine-Like Motors

Gary, are the pins on the db25 breakout board male? if so bypass the cable and connect directly to the acorn and see if it works correctly maybe something wrong with the cable?? Charlie Hi Charlie, It may not be clear, but the connector into that dB-25 breakout is not DB-25. It's a simple 26 pin co...
