Re: Optional Post Processor for VCarve

I could not find where you actually turned on smoothing in Acorn. Mach3 cut smoother than Acorn for me before I turned smoothing on and tweaked it.

Re: File commands to enable flood and mist independent (solved)

In auto mode M7 or M8 Turn on mist and flood. Before when you had one of them running and you turned on the other, it would turn off the first one. I wanted to keep the on screen buttons for my needs, but turn on flood, or mist, or both with mdi commands. Then I wanted to turn off either without aff...

Re: File commands to enable flood and mist independent (solved)

With the Direction to the proper manual from Gary, I fixed the ability to turn on and off the mist and flood commands with file or mdi commands and turn off either one without affecting the other. Often in a tool change situation, I want to turn off the Dust collection and leave the Vac hold down ru...

Re: AXYZ retrofit - stepper drives and motors

I always give thought to Gary's words and he is a friend. That said, I would use the power supply and drivers from the cabinet and toss the rest. In the picture of the driver, the center pair of wires is the incoming voltage that is supplied from the big Round power supply in another picture. The pl...

Re: What CAD program for wiring are you using?

Give this a try. It's a circuit designer and simulator. You can apply voltage and signals and watch what it does. https://www.circuitlab.com/ I used a version of it back when it was published on floppy disc. :D

Re: The first of a few dumb questions.

I found that somewhere and tried m67 & m62. As they are on outputs 2&7 with no success

File commands to enable flood and mist independent (solved)

I have acorn up and running on my old (new to me) accu cut 4x8 router table. I have the motors turning, the limit switches functioning, Spindle on and speed working, and I'm at a crossroads on this one. I have my Vac hold down motors running with the Flood button and my dust collector running with t...

Re: Acorn and CPU Specs?

Are you using square tabs or 3D. Square should be less code.

Re: Seeking contactor recommendation for bench test/learning

Using a contactor for the main power supply to the whole control box should be sufficient. I only use relays (optical usually) after that. If you loose power the whole box stays off till you get back to it. contactor on every circuit won't hurt, but it's overkill in my opinion.
