Re: Need travel consistency but its not working as expected
You have set up 9.8872mm / 800 steps = 0.012359 mm / step So no way to hope the axis will drive with 0.001mm accuracy The smallest increment the CNC can control with your setup is 0.012359mm Related reading: https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1801&p=11936&hilit=happy+zone#...

Re: Solidworks for $38.50 a year
Alibre is a German product, and they are also cooking only with water... Expert version one time 1904 € + Service/Updates 690,20€ / year IMHO fusion is a better deal for 490€ / year (the price I payed for the abo next 3 years) more modelling features and 3+2 axis CAM included I like the streamlined ...

Reset Logic was always different in Acorn than in Acorn6.
But since I cycle reset after start up, I did not mind it.

There are some threads here with problems using DMM servos as spindle drive, but nobody posted a solution...

Re: JMC 220V Servos with Acorn
It runs like this out of the box?
Should speed up smoothly.
Did you check if there is a voltage fluctuation when 0-10V is connected and servo running?
If yes you need a snubber circuit:

Re: Solidworks for $38.50 a year
Oh bummer.....3 axis milling only....... Uwe, Fusion is just cumbersome. Unnecessary parameters I actually like using the Acorn conversational. It is quick and efficient for simple cuts. Too bad it can't do complex things. For 2 axis turning Intercon is very fast, I use CAM only for 3 or 4 axis on ...

What do you think is missing in fusion for turning, works fine for me with y and c axis included.
