Hi Keith, Thanks for helping, i have attached a report and some photos, its a total mess at the moment as you can see. I have actually come to the conclusion it has nothing to do with the brake at all but I still have to hit the cycle start just after reset on acorn otherwise i get the quadrature er...

Quadrature Error with DYN4 Spindle Servo

I am running the latest version of CNC12 with Acorn board V3 and using relay number 3 on the breakout board to control the power from a 24v PSU to control the brake on my Z axis DMM servo. Everything is working OK as far as i can tell but the only way i can get the relay to switch the brake off with...

Thank you all for the replys I will eagerly wait for version 4.14.

The machine conversion is not finished yet its been in the works for about a year now i thought i would start bench testing soon.

I am useing ther DYN2 drives for this servo, i will check the DYN2 Manual.
