Re: Steps per motor rev.
Maybe we're discussing things using different vocabularies, but I'm having some trouble following along with your numbers. As I see it, the numbers we enter into the Wizard are constants. If I enter 2,500 into Axis 1 Steps/Revolution, I'm telling Acorn that it needs to send 2,500 pulses to rotate Ax...

Re: Steps per motor rev.
250 X 4 = 1000. X ratio = 2.5:1 so 2.5 X 1000 = 2,500 to spin one revolution. Y ratio = 1:1 so 1 X 1,000 = one revolution. Z ratio = 3:1 so 3 X 1,000 = 3,000. Assuming that you have assigned Axis 1 to X, Axis 2 to Y and Axis 3 to Z, in Wizard, Axis 1 Steps / Revolution = 2500, Axis 2 Steps / Revolut...

When good enough should be good enough
About a week ago, I stripped down my test-bench Acorn system, which included removing the CLICK PLC and 1616 Expansion Board from the test setup. (The 1616 expansion board will be used with another Acorn in the near future. The PLC may be retired from use with the Acorn if I find other worthwhile us...

Thanks Keith. I'll forward a screen shot to the other group with the typo fixed.

Re: ClearPath two axis Install(revisited)
You and I are experiencing similar problems. I'm running v4.20 Mill and I can't get the Servos to work with the Acorn's Enable signals. On my system, I'm dealing with three signals, NoFaultOut, DriveOK (Axis1DriveOk, Axis2DriveOk and Axis3DriveOk), and the three H2-H3 Enable signals. Let's look at t...

Thanks Gary and Keith.
I used the data from the chart that Keith posted in the other forum. The moderator of that forum used the data from the Centroidcnc website where the upgrade is purchased:

Question about Acorn Mill Pro
On another forum, I was told that the Acorn Mill Pro allows auto tool measure on tools 1-10 (in the feature list near the Add to Cart button). I pointed them to the Centroid Acorn CNC Mill and Lathe Software Levels chart where it states unlimited auto measure on all tools. Because the Mill and Lathe...

Re: Yet another Techno Isel Lathe Refit Using Centroid Acorn and Teknic Clearpath Drives
I wonder if you're having the same issue that I had. I used the Acorn's NoFaultOut signal to turn on a contactor to turn on the power supply for the ClearPath servo motors. (Relay output 3.) When I pressed Cycle Start, the Acorn asserted the enable signals for the motors; however, I constantly had A...

Re: ClearPath Axis?DriveOk error
Here's a photo of the basic bench. The latching circuit has been installed. The actuators are just lying sideways on the front of the bench (Green, Indicator LED, Red). When the Acorn asserts the NoFaultOut signal on Relay Output 3 and I press the Green On actuator, the 75VDC power supply turns on. ...

Re: I would appreciate some help controlling a lathe spindle
Marty, Thanks for posting that schematic showing how to use a DYN4 controller as a spindle motor. Since I already have a DYN4 driver and a DMM 750W servo using step and direction signals from the Acorn for use as an Axis motor, would I only need to order a modified DYN4 driver to use my 750W servo a...
