Re: THC issue
Yup, you'll just have to tweak the profile settings for your plasma cutter. I've even tweaked the profile settings and I'm using a Hypertherm plasma. No two machines will cut the same so it's trial and error as you go. Once you get it dialed in it'll be smooth sailing. Watching it cut up hill is coo...

Re: THC issue
Hi Mike, that's great, the last error I see in your latest report was on the 29th so it appears you corrected all the issues. I just disable defender, I dont know if you can delete it but I've never tried. My CNC PC is NOT connected to the internet so I dont worry about updates turning it on or off ...

Re: CL57T (3.0) Stepper Diver Issue (DB25 - Step Pull Up/Down Voltage Issue?)
I also noticed that in all the pics there's no encoder cable connected. You cant run this drive to an open loop stepper motor. Post a link or data sheet for the motors? Were they matched to the drive and bought as a pair, motor and driver? And as Ken pointed out the drive is wired wrong. Maybe you s...

Re: THC issue
Joey has a good point, you really cant go by book numbers for Hypertherm if you're not using a Hypertherm. Do a bunch of test cuts on some flat material at various feed rates with THC off and record the voltages for the good, clean cuts and average those numbers and set that as the target voltage. A...

Re: Torch Height and Amperage
Looking at his cabinet photos the grounds are all over the place and many dont appear to be connected together. They must all come to a single bus bar that is earth grounded.

Re: THC issue
Hi Mike, First things first, your error report is littered with COM errors and MPU resends. It's been this way since you first fired this machine up back in November of 2023. You MUST fix this issue first before you can go any further. Please see TB270 and TB309 https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersup...

Re: Torch Not firing during Test fire
Hi John here. I have a similar question. I have a plasma wireless mpg from centroid. I want to wire cross hair laser, do I connect it to one of the relays , then assign it to laser function in the software? thank you. Hello John, unfortunately your question is not a similar question and the forum a...

Re: WTB - 4X4 plasma table
It is a crazy, robust machine and it's capable of insane rapid speeds with the Clearpath motors and Acorn controller. Paired with the Hypertherm it's been a workhorse of a plasma table. Good luck in your search.

Re: WTB - 4X4 plasma table
Below my details to the right my location reads Clearwater, Fl. It will not include the Hypertherm plasma cutter, you'll have to provide your own plasma cutter.
Here's a link to the Google album I started when I retrofit the machine. https://photos.app.goo.gl/1XDojEkMjEMsyuyM7

Re: New Build LMS 3990 Hi Torque Mini Mill
Food for thought, Centroid provides a tech bulletin on how to properly set up your turns ratio that is current and updated as of February of 2024. You are watching a video that is 6 years old and not really that relevant to today's software or apparently easy to follow. All that was needed was a sea...
