CNC12 V5.09 beta REV5 is now available for testing.
The Latest CNC12 Beta5 is now available. There is a Major upgrade to Restart mode that allows for jumping anywhere in a Job. I've created a Short walk thru video of these new restart mode features. https://photos.app.goo.gl/k4FHnyEKPYrCGZaj7 Also in this in the 5.09 Beta is Low res smoothing for Low...

Re: Material Profiles
Looks to me the Best feed rate for the 10Gauge is around 170-190. Keep dialing it in around 180ipm. Looks like the dross is almost gone at those speeds. I'm not sure if your using THC for these cuts but remember that Speed changes will change the Voltage for the same cut height. Not sure if your alr...

Re: Material Profiles
I upped the steps / rev to 3600 and the accel/Decell to 0.2 and did dry runs up to 230 IPM with smoothing on. Motion looked really smooth going into the curves. Then it started raining so I had to move the table back into the garage before doing any cuts. Hopefully, I can run the full set of test t...

Re: Material Profiles
Those tests are a great way to really dial in the best feed rate for the Amperage setting. I think you should try the latest beta to see if the Low resolution smoothing is what your looking for. This should help keep the XY Feed rate up in corners and ARCs. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php...

Re: Plasma will not cut <calibration not performed?>
Mario,
Have you performed the Bench test for the THC?
What Plasma model is being used?
Do you have any pictures of the THC boards and there wiring?
After reviewing all the plots I can see the voltage went thru the roof at some point. Over 10v to the TX board.

Re: Material Profiles
Thanks Joey. I will upload a new report after I get out to the shop today. I got the Accel/Decell rate down to .3 now but have not tried lower yet. Also keep an eye out for the CNC12 5.1 release or 5.09 Beta. There is a new Low Resolution Smoothing included in the build thatwill help with your low ...

Re: Material Profiles
A faster Accel/Decell rate will allow for less slow down in corners and arcs. It is impossible to maintain constant speed when directions change. Smoothing can help this issue by slightly altering the torch path to allow for less slow down.- Have you tuned the Accel/Decell rate to see how low your m...

Re: Acorn cnc plasma z axis home
All axis can be set to home on either side. The Z is most commonly homed at the top so the home is at the same position each time and the torch or material is not interfering during homing. axis soft limits need a consistent Homing location. Soft limits for each axis ensure Jobs are not bigger than ...

Re: Acorn cnc plasma z axis home
Hey MJF Can you post a fresh report from the F7 Utility menu. This will help us see the systems settings. The Machine Home is at the Top of the Z axis since the Z axis Home will be at the same location each time. Homing the Z on material is very unusual. What is the reasons for this? Great Pics, Goo...

Re: Plasma will not cut
Mario, Can you post a fresh report now that your cutting to see the Calibration Plot results. What type of Plasma cutter are you using? Do you have the THC? If so make sure the THC is set to installed in the profile manager's THC Config settings. If not do you have a ARC OK signal from the Plasma cu...
