Re: Software Exited and No Initial Homing Routine

Gary,
Thanks for the quick reply. That was exactly the problem. Somehow I wiggled a power connection loose at the master switch and the Acorn was in fact not power cycling.
Now fixed.
Thanks again!

Software Exited and No Initial Homing Routine (fixed, loose Power)

Suddenly every time I open Centroid, I get the message "Software Exited, Cycle E-Stop/Reset to Continue. After I cycle my E-Stop, the software is ready to continue, but the initial warning about Machine has not been homed, Press Cycle Start . . . . does not appear. I am running 12.4.14 Lathe Pr...

Re: Tool Setting Options For Routers and Mills

Has anyone had a chance to test these custom macros under v4.16 or v4.18?
I always wait a few days after the initial release of a new version to see what, if any, gotchas might have slipped through. And now we are at v4.18.
Thanks for any feedback.

Re: DB9 and DB25 break out boards

I wanted to follow up on my previous post. I went ahead and installed my DB-9 adapter on a Gecko G540 empty port. I was surprised that it was actually more secure and snugged up against the female side firmly. But you do have to push the two together while you tighten the screws, which is a little d...

Re: DB9 and DB25 break out boards

Hey Marty, I ordered this one from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/Connector-Adapter-Terminal-Signal-Module/dp/B071DS5GTW/ref=sr_1_17_sspa?keywords=DB-9+Male+Socket+Connector&qid=1557335293&s=gateway&sr=8-17-spons&psc=1 When I got it, I discovered the long attachment screws do not f...

Re: Acorn with Gekco 540 as stepper only Estop ???

Many of the Estops are actually 2 modules inserted in a single body. One is NC and one is NO as you discovered. What I did was to buy a second Estop (they are not expensive), remove the NO module from the one I wanted to use, then remove the NC module from the other. I inserted the NC module into th...

Re: Tool Setting Options For Routers and Mills

Bruce,
"plus another to manage the touch off twice, first time at fast/slow speed, second one at really slow speed just for accuracy."
Have you tried any of the macros? They already do this.

Re: Who is up and running on CNC12 4.14?

Hi Marty and all,
I upgraded my lathe software last night and my mill today.
Each took 20-30 minutes and no problems were encountered.
Thanks

Re: Tool Setting Options For Routers and Mills

Can someone please verify that cbb's macro works with 12.4.14? I like to keep up to date on the new releases, but his M6 macro works too well to abandon.
Thanks in advance
