Re: Mill to Router connect issue
FWIW, I have both Router and Mill installed on my test rig and they work as expected. I click on the Router desktop icon and it runs Router. Same for Mill. My guess is you specified "automatically start". That won't work "automatically". Completely uninstall both - erasing the cn...

Re: Acorn (CNC12 works at bench test) but motors don't move
I know the supplied schematic by Centroid shows to use the H2 and H3 terminals, but the CL86Y manual indicates it will take 5-24 VDC inputs. Try wiring one driver (or one driver at a time) via the 5VDC inputs on the DB-25 connector and see if that makes a difference. FWIW, I run CL57 drives. The Cen...

Re: New Control Cabinet Design Questions
Look at the Input/Output definition table at the bottom of the schematic. There are no outputs defined. What you are seeing is the representation of the ribbon cable that goes from the Acorn to the relay board.

Re: CNC12 4.6 Lathe Can't Clear EStop Detected (Resolved)
Well, it turns out a wire from my EStop to Common came loose that I couldn't see - why is it always the simple stuff??

CNC12 4.6 Lathe Can't Clear EStop Detected (Resolved)
Hi All, I have a spare Acorn board that I like to use to test new software releases and different configurations. I have installed 4.6 Mill and 4.6 Router successfully, but I cannot get 4.6 Lathe to install without a persistent "Emergency Stop Detected". This was not a problem with Mill no...

Re: G540 mounting ideas. Why is it designed like this?
Well, I'm not sure why you're questioning the design of GeckoDrive's G-540 here, but . . . Years ago, Mach3 was the most popular CNC control software for DIY'ers. It sent pulse and direction signals out different pins on the parallel/printer port of a PC. The Gecko G-540 was designed by Maris Freema...

Re: VFD Article
It looks like Belden "improved" their website and moved things around. I was getting a 404 error on the above URL, I found the article here:

At least I think it's the same article
