All the PC stuff is mounted to the back of the screen. Its not hard to replace but you need to take everything apart.
The screen replacement comes with the LCD, bezel, LCD control boards and motherboard sheetmetal enclosure. Everything comes mounted, you just need to install your motherboard.

Re: M400S Rescue (Progress being made)
Cost for CNC10 hard drive is $425 list. We can build V2.36 and V2.72 easily with compact flash in an IDE reader. I can build some versions in between but 2.72 and 2.36 seem to be the most common. I also have v2.73 on open suse 11.2 on a 250gb SATA SSD for the more modern motherboards. Same $425 price.

Re: How often should you run the auto tune?
I am assuming this is an Allin1DC system based on your profile. Compare your servo motors to the chart in the ALLin1DC install manual to check the PID settings, then try running auto tune. Save a report first as a backup.

Related note, how does a ballscrew cnc machine being run manually behave? Will the axis hold position during high cutting force operations?

Re: OAK/DYN4
All, I Teamviewered into OC customs machine. It does move under control however after 1 turn, it throws a position error in cnc12. I see the encoder counts but I also see the error count go up at the same time. One strange thing I noticed is the Z encoder index pulse appears randomly and flickers. I...

Copy these files into your CNCM directory. These are located with the cnc12 v4.14 installer on Centroids website.

MPU.dbg
mpu.plc
mpu.sym
plc.map
plcmsg.txt

Do not copy cncm.prm.xml or cncmcfg.xml unless you want to wipe your configuration out.

The compiled PLC in your report is very old and does not support the VCP.

Re: Acorn CNC 12 Version 4.20 not communicating
I just Teamviewed into this machine. I do not think this is a communication issue. The software closes in 2-3 seconds after you try to open it. No messages or errors. I even downloaded the installer again and reinstalled. V4.18 does work, V4.20 just goes back to the desktop. I checked for antivirus ...
