Re: Who is Eric Schimelpfenig
Hey ShawnM That's exactly what I'm doing right now .... Preferable way is to utilize the Ether1616 Inputs for each of the 4 Prox sensors ... Just thought if there are people with the same sort of setup as mine and they wouldn't mind sharing the macro they use, then I could utilize that right from th...

Who is Eric Schimelpfenig
I saw a couple of posts going way back to 2018 where Eric Schimelpfenig had helped with a macro for Auto Squaring using individual inputs on the Ether1616 and using NC prox sensors. This is exactly what I ultimately wanted to achieve and part of the reason I purchased the Ether1616 to have the avail...

Re: Error trying to Auto Square Y - First time
I had my Input type (pull-down) set to Router which is what I have, and in this mode you have no SlavedHomeInput definition.
Its only when I set this input type to "ALL" that SlavedHomeInput appears in the selection

Re: Error trying to Auto Square Y - First time
in the wizard input screen drag SlavedHomeInput to the input that you have it wired to. press write settings to cnc control. follow instructions on screen. this is all covered in the pairing manual. :-)) Keith what I'm saying is that I'm following Axis Pairing & Squaring guide dated 08/10/2019,...

Re: Error trying to Auto Square Y - First time
Keith
is there a reason why I'm not seeing "SlavedHomeInput" in the I/O definitions before I even getting to the pairing options?
Closest option I'm seeing is "FourthAxisHomeOK"
But I get a error saying "can't have more than 1 Home input"

Re: Error trying to Auto Square Y - First time
Not sure what you mean ... Inputs are defined, then I moved to pairing setting that up. So the two fields "PLC inputs" populate on their own, there is no drop-down. This is based on what was entered in the I/O definitions??

Still having issues; and still getting the original error Followed procedure on pg.13 of the Axis Pairing & Squaring guide. NPN (NO) Prox sensors in series using IN1 & IN2 ( waiting for my NPN NC sensors to arrive ) I can not for the life of me find an "Input Definition" called Sla...

Re: Error trying to Auto Square Y - First time
Hi Keith writing your own home program is not that big of deal:-)) I don't believe it will be hard at all, but right now I really need to get this CNC moving and doing something ... Problem is I'm very ambitious  I started this build, I started a mini-lathe build (acorn driven), and a large La...
