Re: New Build: SYIL X4 CNC Mill, Clearpath SDSK, C86ACCP & Centroid Acorn

There is a no fault input that needs to be shorted on C86ACCP. On contact on the Estop relay dies that Yes there is. It comes shorted from CNC4PC. I'm sure they (Centroid) have schematics, but I have chosen to simplify the wiring on my builds because adding that portion complicates the process and ...

Re: New Build: SYIL X4 CNC Mill, Clearpath SDSK, C86ACCP & Centroid Acorn

You need three normally open contacts in your estop contactor. 1 breaks the VFD Common 1 breaks power to your IPC-5 1 closes the NO Fault input to C86ACCP My version is similar but has a couple differences: 1) If the VFD is 230vac (1ph), then both hot legs should be broken by the contactor 2) If th...

Re: New Build: SYIL X4 CNC Mill, Clearpath SDSK, C86ACCP & Centroid Acorn

I'm not home currently. Take a look at the Acorn system schematic on how to wire the estop relay coil to you estop power supply and button with two NC contact blocks. You wire from the positive terminal of you estop power supply (NOT the Acorn logic power supply and usually separate 1 or 2 amp 24vdc...

Re: Tree Journeyman 425 mill retrofit

I have fought an intermittent servo fault on the X axis since I got this machine running. The only real work around I found was to keep lowering rapids and acceleration. I finally got to swapping it with the Y axis servo today. Of course, the problem followed the motor. I can honestly say, I don't ...

Re: New Build: SYIL X4 CNC Mill, Clearpath SDSK, C86ACCP & Centroid Acorn

Hey Marty, it's been a while and I've yet to finish my build. I know 24 volts goes to the E stop contactor but I don't quite understand the dwg. and where to insert the wires on the contactor...I'm not an electrian by trade so I need a little more than it shows, like the + lead and - lead goes from...

I can't find my original purchase paperwork right off. Does this help? If not, I will have to dig deeper.

You have a Centroid Console.
Give Centroid a call for guidance.
Marc may chime in or one of their techs

Re: Upgrading 1984 Wells Index 820 with Allin1DC

Hi folks! Been a busy year! Hope everyone is well! I held off starting work on my lathe as I couldn't justify the cost of the Centroid, but if the economy ever turns around I will get back to it. I've been working the hell out of the Wells Index. Such a pleasure to use again after watching it colle...

Nice,
Sure looks like quite a build and labor intensive. Can't wait to see it doing its thing.
