Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets

I did some testing with my Tormach probe and found that approach direction makes a huge difference. If I orient the probe so one of the sides of the probes kinematic “triangle” is in line with the probing axis, then I get +/-.002” repeatability. If I turn the probe 45 degrees, the repeatability drop...

Re: Inverter reset oak output 5 (Resolved)

With my OAK and automation Direct GS20 drive, I had my e-stop relay open the STO (safe torque off) input to the drive. Assuming this is a GS4 drive, you simplify the solution by setting P6.71 = 1. With P6.71 = 1, STO is still reported as a fault condition, but it is not latched, and therefore does ...

Re: ProbeApp V2: The ultimate solution for Tool Height Offsets

Just installed this on an OAK servo system.
The app is fantastic, as was the support from swissi to get it going.
Really great work!

Re: Inverter reset oak output 5 (Resolved)

With my OAK and automation Direct GS20 drive, I had my e-stop relay open the STO (safe torque off) input to the drive. I was unable to reset a drive fault as there was a vicious cycle where the fault signal from the VFD was triggering the drive fault input of OAK. This prevented the OAK "all OK...

Re: Tool Touch Probe NO/NC

Thanks, I'll give the code a shot after the holiday. I don't have time today so I just made a dummy plug with a IN669 shorted out so I could run a job. That made the controller happy and it runs normally. For a long term solution I think I'll modify my probe with the flipper circuit so I can be comp...

Re: Tool Touch Probe NO/NC

The Ctrl-Alt-i facility only applies to INP1 - INP80. You can invert INP769, but you have to add a line in the PLC program to do it. The lengthy block of comments in most PLC programs that begins with "PLC Input manipulation - SV_PLC_DEBOUNCE_1 - SV_PLC_DEBOUNCE_64" relates to this capabi...

Re: M01 - Optional Stop With User Prompt (resolved)

Hi Shawn, Sorry, I missed this question back in June. Yes, I modified the New Segment section as follows: +--------------------------------------------------- + Commands output for a new segment - toolpath + with same toolnumber but maybe different feedrates +----------------------------------------...

Re: Dmm Technologies and DYN4 Drive

Make sure the servo drive is set to "position servo mode". I found that the DYN software has a nasty habit of setting the drive back to serial mode. It appears that the software needs serial mode to perform a lot of its diagnostic & setup functions and seems to frequently set the drive...

Oak DRO "1/2" Function (set part 0 center point)

Oak CNC v12 Being used to a manual mill with DRO, I made use of the "1/2" button very frequently and would like to duplicate it in with Aux keys in Oak. If not familiar, the button is used to set zero to the center of two points; Touch off point 1 the zero the axis, then touch of second po...
